Dr. H. Charles (Chuck) Roost, Founder |
| |
Dr. Charles Roost became the founding partner of INTERNATIONAL STEWARD in May of 2000, with over 20 years of consulting experience in the field of development. He invested the prior 15 years serving as Executive Pastor and Missions Pastor of Kentwood Community Church, in Kentwood, Michigan. Dr. Roost has served as national director of the Youth Guidance Division of Youth for Christ, served as president of a Christian college, and for the past 10 years has helped to design development strategies for Christian ministries.
Dr. Roost holds a Master’s degree in counseling and a Ph.D. in curriculum. He is an excellent communicator and has a talent for helping individuals discover who they are and how God has gifted them to accomplish their goals.

Mr. Dirk Ailts, CEO |

Mr. Dirk Ailts joined the INTERNATIONAL STEWARD Staff in January 2009. He brings years of experience as both youth pastor and educator of young, entrepreneurs in the greater Grand Rapids and lakeshore areas of West Michigan. Mr. Ailts and his wife Debbie have one daughter, Taylor, who has begun a new chapter in her life with a new home and employment in East Lansing.

Ms. Pamela Roost has served on staff since 2000. Ms. Roost has an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science and a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Before joining INTERNATIONAL STEWARD she served her community as an Abuse Recovery Counselor focusing on how God’s healing redeems the human heart. Being called to the mission field at the age of ten, Ms. Roost has used this calling as well as her educational background in human behavior to teach, mentor and support ministry leaders around the world. As Special Events Director, she plans, leads and executes fund raising events when not traveling on teaching team. Pam lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband Chuck and two of their college age children John and Jessica. She enjoys watching sunsets with Chuck, hanging out with the grandchildren and experiencing God’s creation… especially if it is at the beach!

Joining the staff in January of 2006, Ms. Alicia McElheny serves INTERNATIONAL STEWARD through management of daily office activities and operations. Previous to her employment with INTERNATIONAL STEWARD, Ms. McElheny spent 15 years with Special Olympics Michigan in a very similar capacity of non-profit work. Ms. McElheny graduated from Huntington College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Science. She enjoys the intricate and creative hobbies of beading and rubber stamping in her spare time. A native of Grand Rapids, Ms. McElheny resides in Kentwood with her husband and daughter.

Rev. Bob Wielenga is a Senior Instructor and has been an adjunct Staff member since 2005. Rev. Wielenga gives primary leadership to the work of INTERNATIONAL STEWARD in the Caribbean and Central America. With the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, he has pioneered the addition of a stewardship and fund development curriculum in several of their seminaries. Previous to his work with INTERNATIONAL STEWARD, he is and has been President of his own non-profit organization Global Outreach Development which enables short-term mission teams to experience and assist with the needs of the emerging church in the developing world. Rev. Wielenga is also coordinating the global distribution of the NIV Stewardship Study Bible which is available as of fall 2009.

Mr. David Morgan joined INTERNATIONAL STEWARD December 2009 as accounts manager and quickly added executive responsibilities to his position in early 2010. Mr. Morgan and his wife, Alison, live in Grand Rapids and became first-time parents in early December when they welcomed their son Jack to the Morgan family. His interests include an avid following of sports and a love of frisbee golf.

Mr. Brett Elder is a senior instructor of the INTERNATIONAL STEWARD curriculum ranging from sharing the message of stewardship and sustainability through local giving. His background in the arenas of finance and administration, as well as his passion to foster a culture of stewardship, was an impetus to help launch the ministry of INTERNATIONAL STEWARD. Mr. Elder is the Executive Editor of the NIV Stewardship Resource Bible, a new study/devotional Bible that will help each of us understand the profound privilege of stewarding God's resources from a holistically biblical perspective. He is currently working with the Acton Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
